HEAD CAPTAIN: KATIE KEMP

POSITION:  WIDE RECEIVER AND SAFETY

Q:  Why did you choose to join Robinson Flag?

A:  I joined Robinson flag after attending a couple summer practices before my freshman year. I loved the camaraderie of the team and made a ton of friends in every grade before my first day of high school.

Q:  What is your favorite flag memory?

A:  My favorite flag memory is starting the 2019 district final at safety when I was a

Q:  In your opinion, what makes flag unique from other sports and activities?

A:  Flag is unique in that everyone is involved in a variety of other sports and activities during the season, so it makes the team super well-rounded. Also, we have coaches responsible for individual positions, which makes practices really effective.

Q:  What advice would you give to a new player unsure if flag is for them?

A:  I would say just try it, because you'll never know if you like the sport (or the team) unless you come out at least once!

Sophomore.

CAPTAIN: JAYLEN STASIO

POSITION: WIDE RECEIVER AND CORNER

YEARS ON TEAM: 3

Q:  Why did you choose to join Robinson Flag?

A I played flag in my last year of middle school and really enjoyed it. I heard about the team the summer of my freshman year and decided to try it out and I've loved it ever since.

Q:  What is your favorite flag memory?

A:  My favorite flag memory is when we got to film the Nike commercial. I was so nervous but

so excited because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Q:  In your opinion, what makes flag unique from other sports and activities?

A:  What makes flag so different from other sports and activities is the way the sport is carried out. To be on the tema is a privilege and everyone on the team understands that, so every player gives it their all.

Q:  What advice would you give to a new player unsure if flag is for them?

A:  The advice I would give is to try your hardest no matter what the situation is. Putting in effort at all times is critical in every aspect of the sport. It's important to realize that even if you've never played flag before you could easily learn the ropes as long as you dedicate yourself to being better than you were the day before.

CAPTAIN: N'DEA FITZGERALD

POSITION: RUNNING BACK AND LINEBACKER 

YEARS ON TEAM: 4

Q: Why did you choose to join Robinson flag?

A: I started playing flag football when I was six years old, and then I went on to play tackle. Robinson flag was the first non co-ed team I had been apart of, and I immediately felt a sense of family after joining.

Q: What is your favorite flag memory?

A: My favorite flag memory is getting to go to pro bowl my freshman year and all the different 

opportunities the Bucs have given us. it's really amazing to know that an NFL team thinks of including us in things like that!

Q: In your opinion, what makes flag unique from other sports and activities?

A: The obvious uniqueness is that young women are playing a sport normally thought to be reserved for young men. However, that fact alone creates a different atmosphere wherin my teammates and I are always trying to prove that not only can we play this game, but we can do so at a very high level!

Q: What advice would you give to a new player unsure if flag is for them?

A: Just come out! All the girls are really nice and flag has a completely different environment than any other sport. You will build bonds with amazing people that eventually become lifelong friends.

CAPTAIN: SYDNEY STOUT 

POSITION:  QUARTERBACK

YEARS ON TEAM: 4

Q: Why did you choose to join Robinson Flag?

A: I joined Robinson Flag before my freshman year because I was interested in the sport and also wanted to make friends before entering high school.

Q: What is your favorite flag memory?

A: It is hard to pick one specific memory, but my favorite events are overnight tournaments like Swamp Bowl and CCC. They always provide such valuable team bonding time, and you

always find yourself getting closer to everyone.

Q: In your opinion, what makes flag unique from other sports and activities?

A: Flag is unique because of the community aspect and also the incredible opportunities we have.

Q: What advice would you give to a new player unsure if flag is for them?

A: There's essentially no harm in coming out to a flag event and seeing if you enjoy it. I advise giving it a try because you will likely have a lot of fun.
